A’Bunadh Alba offers a smooth counterpoint to A’Bunadh’ s richness and spice. It brings a honeyed sweetness which appeals to the committed Bourbon drinker, owing to maturation in first fill Bourbon barrels.
Where as the standard A'Bunadh is a sweet, supple Sherry matured expression, the new A'Bunadh Alba uses classic white oak barrels only, focusing more on the malty, fruity character of the whisky itself with plenty of vanilla from the oak maturation.
Nose: Aromas of ripe red apples, along with honey, vanilla and a hint of cinnamon
Palate: Sweet, with a creamy, oily texture with elements of citrus zest, cinnamon and dried apple emerge
